PPP to Support Federal Budget as Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Commends Government Initiatives

Islamabad: The National Assembly resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad today with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the chair. Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, announced that his party will support the federal budget for the forthcoming financial year.

According to Radio Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed that the PPP was consulted during the budget formulation, and some of its suggestions have been incorporated. He praised the government for accepting recommendations such as leaving the digital tax on services to the provinces and reducing the sales tax on solar panels from eighteen to ten percent.

Bilawal highlighted his satisfaction with the improvement in economic indicators, especially the reduction in inflation due to the government's policies. He also praised the twenty percent increase in the budget for the Benazir Income Support Program.

The PPP Chairman called for an agriculture emergency, emphasizing that it would provide relief to farmers and strengthen the economy. He pointed out that the defence budget has been increased by twenty percent to counter India's aggressive stance.

He asserted that Pakistan has successfully internationalized the Kashmir dispute and noted the achievements of a high-level delegation led by him to various international capitals. He claimed that Pakistan has outmaneuvered India in diplomatic and narrative battles, advocating for Pakistan's peace-oriented stance.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari warned India to adhere to the Indus Water Treaty, or face potential conflict over water rights. He also condemned attacks on Iran by Israel and the United States, calling for an end to Israeli aggression in the region.
