Makkah: The pre-Hajj flight operation is set to conclude on Saturday, with over 87,000 pilgrims having already arrived in Saudi Arabia under the government scheme. Additionally, 21,984 pilgrims have traveled under the private scheme.
According to Radio Pakistan, Secretary of Religious Affairs Dr. Syed Ata ur Rehman, in an interview with Radio Pakistan Correspondent Abdul Rehman Cheema in Makkah, stated that five flights are scheduled from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore to airlift the remaining pilgrims under the government scheme.
Dr. Rehman highlighted the significant arrangements made for the pilgrims during the Mashair days this year. He detailed that traditional mattresses have been replaced with sofa-cum-beds, and air conditioners have been installed alongside existing air coolers. Additionally, elevated luggage storage racks and shoe racks have been introduced to enhance comfort.
He further emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure a fulfilling experience for the pilgrims. In response to a query, Dr. Rehman urged the Hujjaj to uphold the national image during their spiritual journey by strictly adhering to Saudi laws, which are designed to facilitate the smooth conduct of Hajj.
