Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the importance of enhancing the cordial relations between Pakistan and Ghana for the mutual benefit of both nations. He conveyed this message during a meeting with Pakistan's Ambassador-designate to Ghana, Najeeb Durrani, in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari urged the Ambassador to prioritize the promotion of economic and trade relations between the two countries. He highlighted the business-friendly environment in Pakistan and encouraged the Ambassador-designate to facilitate joint ventures between Ghanaian businesses and Pakistani entrepreneurs, as well as to attract investment into Pakistan's economy.
The President also underscored the importance of strengthening institutional linkages to foster closer ties between Pakistan and Ghana. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing training programs for Ghanaian diplomats and engineers in Pakistan, considering it a positive step towards expanding bilateral cooperation.
