Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended felicitations to the President of Georgia, Mr. Mikheil Kavelashvili, and the people of Georgia on their Independence Day.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President emphasized the importance Pakistan places on its relations with Georgia and acknowledged the potential for their steady advancement. He expressed Pakistan's eagerness to further develop bilateral engagement through constructive cooperation in areas of mutual interest, aiming for the benefit of both nations.

The President also conveyed his best wishes for the peace and progress of the people of Georgia, highlighting the commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries.
