President Asif Ali Zardari has paid homage to all victims of terrorism, including civilians, brave personnel of security forces, and law enforcement agencies, who lost their lives while defending country from the terrorists. In his message on the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to Victims of Terrorism, he said this day also reminds us of pain and sufferings of families who lost their loved ones at hands of terrorists. The President said the country has lost thousands of civilians and security personnel during the war on terror. He said Pakistan's former Prime Minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was also martyred by the terrorists. He further said number of other political and religious leaders of the country have also lost their lives at the hands of terrorists. The President reaffirmed the commitment to continue taking decisive action against terrorists. He said it is government's fundamental goal to eradicate terrorism with the support of people and secure a peaceful future for the c ountry. He said terrorism is a global challenge, requiring collective efforts and cooperation by the international community for its elimination.
