Islamabad:Private Hajj bookings are seeing increased activity following the Ministry of Religious Affairs' intervention and oversight of the private Hajj scheme.

According to Radio Pakistan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Muhammad Umar Butt, announced that the number of applications received through the Pak Hajj App has reached 21,547.

Despite this surge in bookings, approximately fifty thousand seats remain available under the private Hajj scheme. The Spokesperson advised pilgrims to process their payments via the Pak Hajj App and warned against making direct payments to any individual or company.

Muhammad Umar Butt also indicated that the deadline for registration under the private Hajj scheme through the Hajj Portal is November 20 of this year. Over two thousand Hajj packages offered by twenty-five authorized companies can be accessed via the portal.

He further noted that private Hajj pilgrims can report any issues using the inquiry option available on the Hajj Portal.
