Lahore: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has accused PTI of defaming the state through what he describes as concocted stories based on lies. In a televised statement, he asserted that the party is creating a false narrative about firing on the protesters. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister challenged PTI to present any evidence showing law enforcement officers firing bullets directly at the protesters. He noted that no dead bodies were found, and if PTI had any evidence, they should present it to the media. Tarar claimed that allegations of bodies being found are only circulating on social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, X, and WhatsApp, but in reality, there were no such incidents. The Minister further accused PTI of attempting to deceive the nation with lies and misleading statements. He also highlighted that four Rangers personnel and a police official were martyred, yet no PTI member expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
