Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Dr. Emma Xiaoqin Fan, the Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), in Lahore on Monday. The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration in several key areas, including agriculture, health, education, infrastructure, environmental protection, and digital development across the province. According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif acknowledged the significant role played by the Asian Development Bank in the development of Punjab and its contribution to the province's economic recovery. She highlighted that the provincial government is committed to advancing the socio-economic development agenda through comprehensive planning and strategic initiatives. During the meeting, Dr. Emma Xiaoqin Fan commended the Punjab government's efforts in promoting women empowerment and enhancing public welfare. She reiterated ADB's keen interest in further building and strengthening its cooperation with Pakistan, aiming to support various developmental projects within the region.
