Forest Department of Punjab has launched a massive plantation drive under the Green Pakistan Initiative. For the first time in history, twenty thousand seed balls were spread by deploying paragliders in the hilly areas of Chakwal district. Apart from this, with the cooperation of SIFC and Pakistan Army, a large-scale plantation campaign was facilitated in Murree Division. Under Green Pakistan Initiative's "Plant for Pakistan" programme, over three million saplings were planted in a single day by various government departments across Punjab.
