Punjab government has decided to impose health emergency in Rawalpindi district due to rising dengue cases. This was decided during a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Dengue Prevention chaired by Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare Khawaja Salman Rafique in Lahore today. Secretary of Primary Health Nadia Saqib and Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi gave a detailed briefing to the meeting. The meeting was informed that in response to the increase in cases, twenty-nine private hospitals in Rawalpindi have been designated as alternative arrangements. Source: Radio Pakistan
