Islamabad: Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has emphasized the need for molding our lives in accordance with Seerat un Nabi Sallallah-o-Alaih-e-Wa Alihi Wassalam to promote peace, harmony, and brotherhood in society. Addressing the International Seerat Conference in Islamabad on Saturday, he said that holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallah-o-Alaih-e-Wa Alihi Wassalam is a blessing for all the worlds.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister for Religious Affairs quoted a hadith, stating that all Muslims are like one body. He expressed that the government and people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people, emphasizing the shared emotional connection between Pakistani and Palestinian citizens. Sardar Muhammad Yousaf reaffirmed the government's commitment to curtail the negative use of social media, ensuring the implementation of existing laws under the guidance of Ulema o Mashaikh.
Earlier at the conference, Chairman Ulema Council Pakistan Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi addressed the ongoing issue of hatred being spread on sectarian and linguistic bases by the country's enemies. He highlighted the nation's resolve to counter these divisive efforts. Ashrafi also cautioned against the sin and legal implications of spreading unverified information on social media.
The conference saw participation from international figures, including Advisor to the President of Palestine on Religious Affairs and Chief Justice of the Shariat Court Mahmoud Siddiqui Alhabash, Adviser for Religious Affairs of Bangladesh A.F.M Khalid Hossain, Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, and Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs Sardar Shamsher Ali Khan Mazari. Religious scholars and foreign delegates emphasized the teachings of holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallah-o-Alaih-e-Wa Alihi Wassalam, calling for greater unity and harmony across sects and faiths.
