Islamabad: US Charg© d'Affaires Elizabeth Horst called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Friday to discuss future collaboration in key areas. The meeting focused on opportunities in education, water and sanitation, health, climate resilience, and municipal services.
According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reaffirmed his government's commitment to strengthening its partnership with USAID. He sought USAID's support for post-2022 flood reconstruction, including the restoration of damaged schools and improving educational quality through ICT and teacher training.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the urgent need for rehabilitation of water supply and drainage systems, proposing additional filtration units for schools and health facilities.
