Sixteen Khawarij Killed in Joint Operation in Bannu

Bannu: Sixteen Khawarij, including two Khawarji ringleaders, were sent to hell in a joint operation by the Pakistan Army, police, and Counter Terrorism Department in Bannu on Saturday.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the operation, two police personnel also embraced martyrdom in the line of duty. Notorious Khawarji commander Zamri Noor, who had spread fear and terror in the area, along with Afghan Khawarji commander Abdullah Saeed, was also killed during the operation.

Several terrorist hideouts were destroyed during the highly difficult operation conducted jointly by the Pakistan Army, police, and CTD. Funeral prayers for martyred constables Waheed Ullah Khan and Noor Ullah Khan were offered with full official honours at Police Lines Bannu.

Senior civil and military officials, local elders, and a large number of people attended the funeral prayers. Security forces and law enforcement agencies have reaffirmed their resolve to continue joint operations against terrorism until the elimination of the last terrorist.
