Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released detailed figures on the use of its overnight repo and reverse repo facilities by various financial institutions. According to State Bank of Pakistan, the data reveals that on July 15, 2025, a total of one institution accessed the SBP's Overnight Repo Facility, borrowing an amount of Rs. 92,000 million. In contrast, three institutions utilized the SBP's Overnight Reverse Repo Facility, with borrowings amounting to Rs. 111,000 million. These figures highlight the financial activities within the domestic markets, focusing on the short-term borrowing needs of financial institutions and their access to liquidity. The SBP's repo and reverse repo facilities serve as vital tools for managing liquidity in the banking system, ensuring smooth monetary operations.
