Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja says steps are underway for digital transformation in the country. During a meeting with Ambassador of Ethiopia, Jemal Beker Abdula in Islamabad, she said steps are being taken to promote digital payments in country to drive economic growth and efficiency. The Minister said the government is committed to transform Pakistan into cashless economy. She said Ethiopia could benefit from Pakistan's experiences in the field of Information and Communications Technology. She also assured Pakistan Government's full support to Ethiopia regarding digitalization. The Ethiopian Ambassador said Ethiopia is keen to increase ties with Pakistan in the field of IT and telecommunication.
