The Sugar Advisory Board has recommended the export of 40,000 metric tons of sugar to Tajikistan. This recommendation was made during a meeting in Islamabad today, chaired by the Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain. Following approval from the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet, the Trade Corporation of Pakistan will manage the arrangements for the sugar export to Tajikistan. Currently, the country has a total sugar stock of 2.852 million metric tons, which is adequate to meet domestic demand.
