Islamabad: The Afghan Taliban regime is at a crossroads, as it must decide between maintaining its ties with Pakistan or continuing its support for terrorist organizations.
According to Radio Pakistan, this was the focal point of a briefing provided to journalists from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the Inter-Services Public Relations regarding Operation "Ghazab lil-Haq." The security sources emphasized that Pakistan's issues are not with Afghanistan or its people, but specifically with the Afghan Taliban regime, which has been acting as a key facilitator for terrorism in the region. By backing several militant groups, the regime poses a significant threat to regional peace and stability.
The briefing highlighted that Operation Ghazab lil-Haq is part of Pakistan's ongoing fight against terrorism, and it will persist until the Afghan Taliban regime provides credible guarantees and takes concrete steps to cease its support of terrorist activities. Security sources underscored that groups like Khawarij are propagating a distorted version of Islam, which is unrelated to terrorism or suicide attacks. The operation targets the infrastructure of terrorist organizations based on solid intelligence, focusing only on terrorist facilities while refuting claims of civilian targeting.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Information and security agencies continue to update the media and public on the progress of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, supported by authentic video reports. Despite opposition, oppressed segments within Afghanistan reportedly support the operation, while certain Afghan social media accounts and Indian-backed media spread misinformation.
The security forces have also reported that more than 200 intelligence-based operations are conducted daily within Pakistan, targeting terrorist hideouts. National unity and the full implementation of the National Action Plan are deemed crucial for eradicating terrorism. Pakistan affirms its commitment to constructive international relations and is prepared to protect its sovereignty, dismissing any perceived threats to its security.
