Karachi: Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, has emphasized the urgent need for reviving the national drama and film industry to meet international standards. He made these remarks during a meeting with senior film and drama artists in Karachi.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the importance of promoting an export-driven economy to stabilize the national economy. He urged drama and film industry owners to actively participate in international forums and create content that supports the national economy. He underscored the role of individuals in the film and drama sectors as cultural representatives of the country.
Ahsan Iqbal pointed out the numerous opportunities for economic progress in Pakistan and noted that all sectors, including the film and drama industry, could contribute significantly. He further mentioned that government-level policies have already led to considerable advancements in sports and the drama and film industry.
