Swat: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam has stated that no stone will be left unturned in providing relief to those affected by floods and rain. Addressing the flood victims in Swat, he emphasized the importance of swift and comprehensive support for affected communities.
According to Radio Pakistan, Engineer Amir Muqam highlighted the efforts of the National Highway Authority (NHA), which managed to restore most of the blocked roads within just two days following the floods. This prompt action aimed to facilitate transportation and aid delivery to the isolated areas.
The Minister assured the audience that the federal government is committed to compensating the heirs of the deceased with two million rupees, ensuring that this support is delivered without fail. He also praised the Pakistan Army for their role in the rescue operations, acknowledging their consistent support in times of national emergencies.
Engineer Amir Muqam urged the provincial government to carry out a transparent assessment of the material damage incurred. This assessment is crucial for ensuring that compensation is distributed judiciously to those who have suffered losses due to the natural disaster.
