Lahore: Chief Minister of the Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has given in-principle approval to establish Pakistan's first Tier Four data center at the Nawaz Sharif Information Technology City in Lahore. According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting to review the progress of the Nawaz Sharif IT City project in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif assigned the Central Business District the task of establishing more international university campuses at the Nawaz Sharif IT City. She emphasized the need for the prompt completion of the Nawaz Sharif IT City Twin Towers as part of the development initiative. The meeting highlighted that universities from countries such as China and England will set up campuses in the Nawaz Sharif IT City. Notably, Buckinghamshire University and Imperial College London have expressed readiness to build their campuses in the city, enhancing its educational offerings. Furthermore, the meeting discussed plans for establishing an Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology University in collaboration with international universities, aimed at advancing educational and technological development in the region.
