DPM Engages Russian, Iranian Counterparts at SCO Meeting

Tianjin: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has held separate meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting in Tianjin.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, energy, and defense sectors. The Deputy Prime Minister also extended an invitation to Lavrov to visit Pakistan, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations.

In his meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to regional peace and stability. The discussions involved reviewing bilateral cooperation across various areas and addressing the evolving regional situation following the recent Israeli aggression against Iran.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Dar met with Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kulubaev Zheenbek Moldokanovic at the Great Hall in Beijing. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the longstanding bilateral relationship and enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister held discussions with his Kazakh counterpart Murat Nurtleu on the margins of a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two leaders expressed their resolve to deepen bilateral ties and expand collaboration across regional and multilateral platforms.
