Field Marshal Promises Restoration of Sikh Religious Sites Impacted by Floods

Sialkot: Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has assured that all religious sites affected during the floods, including Durbar Sahib Kartarpur, will be completely restored to their original condition as a priority. He gave this assurance while interacting with the Sikh community during his visit to the flood-affected areas of Punjab, including Sialkot, Shakargarh, Narowal, and Kartarpur.

According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized the responsibility of the state and its institutions to safeguard minorities and their religious sites. He assured that Pakistan will exert every effort to fulfill its obligations towards minority communities. The Sikh community warmly welcomed the Field Marshal in the flood-affected areas of the Sialkot Sector and expressed gratitude for the services provided by the civil administration and the Army during the calamity.

The Army Chief conducted an aerial survey of Durbar Sahib Kartarpur as part of his visit, which aimed to assess the flood situation and ongoing rescue and relief operations. He received a detailed briefing on the current situation and preparations for the impending rains.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir commended the troops and civil administration for their coordinated and diligent efforts in rescuing and providing relief to those affected. During interactions with civil administration representatives, he praised their proactive measures in minimizing the loss of lives and property.

While engaging with the troops, Syed Asim Munir lauded their high morale, operational readiness, and dedication to serving the nation. He appreciated their efforts during the rescue and relief operations under challenging circumstances. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was received by Corps Commander Gujranwala upon his arrival.
