Haroon Akhtar Highlights Importance of Electric Vehicles for Economic and Environmental Benefits

Islamabad: Prime Minister's Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar Khan has emphasized the necessity of adopting Electric Vehicles (EVs) in Pakistan as a strategic move to protect the environment and decrease the nation's oil import expenses. He articulated these views during a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the Chinese company Huaguan, held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Haroon Akhtar Khan discussed the significant potential of lithium batteries in energy storage, underscoring their future role in the energy sector. The CEO of Huaguan informed that the company is also manufacturing drones using lithium batteries for agricultural applications.

Haroon Akhtar Khan pointed out the global expansion of robotics and drone technology across various sectors, including healthcare and agriculture. He expressed optimism that this visit would pave the way for investment, business collaborations, and new opportunities to foster Pakistan's economic development.
