Islamabad: Indian media's reputation has been seriously damaged globally due to the spread of fake news.
According to Radio Pakistan, journalistic standards in India are declining, with a rise in nationalism and a deficit of trust, which has led Indian media to mislead the public and spread lies and sensationalism.
Arab Times Online said that during India-Pakistan tensions, Indian channels broadcast fake news about military victories using fake footages and video games. It also mentioned that freedom of the press in India is in danger, as the Indian media is suppressing voices that challenge the government narrative.
Global observers and local journalists have expressed concern, viewing Indian media as a potential threat to democracy. Arab Times Online noted that Indian journalism is increasingly influenced by political agenda, resulting in the fading of the concept of independent media.
