Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has termed provision of health insurance to journalists a historic step that will help ensure health and welfare of media workers of country. In a statement, the Minister congratulated journalists and media workers following announcement of their health insurance in Federal Budget. He said as many as 5,000 journalists and media workers would be given health insurance in first phase of scheme, while 10,000 more would get facility in second phase. Source: Radio Pakistan
