International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict was observed today. This year the Day focused on healthcare. In his message, the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for a pledge to eliminate this scourge, stand in solidarity with survivors, and reaffirm commitment to protecting hospitals and healthcare facilities during conflict. Meanwhile, a report released by Kashmir Media Service has revealed that Indian forces' personnel sexually assaulted over 11,263 women during last 36 years in occupied territory.
