Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that local administration and law enforcement agencies across the country are on high alert to maintain law and order during Youm-e-Ashur. In his statement, Naqvi emphasized the ongoing crackdown against the spread of religious hatred and sectarianism on social media platforms.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Ministry has reported that the Central Monitoring Cell in Islamabad is actively coordinating with the control rooms of provincial governments. This coordination is part of a broader effort to ensure strict security measures are in place across various regions, including Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Minister extended his tribute to the army, Rangers, Police, administration, and other institutions for their roles in maintaining peace. Across the country today, a total of four thousand eight hundred thirty-six processions are being conducted, and five thousand four hundred eighty Majalis are being held. These events are being closely monitored to ensure the safety and security of all participants.
