No Compromise on Resolve to Eliminate Terrorism: Sanaullah

Islamabad: Adviser to Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has stated that there will be no compromise on Pakistan's resolve to eliminate terrorism. Responding to points raised by the opposition benches in the Senate, he emphasized that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has made it clear that Afghanistan must choose between Pakistan and terrorism. Sanaullah reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to targeting terrorist training camps and sanctuaries in Afghanistan until terrorism is completely eradicated.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sanaullah urged the opposition to refrain from linking political differences with terrorist activities. He highlighted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has consistently invited the opposition to engage in dialogue to resolve political issues. The emphasis was on maintaining a united front against terrorism while addressing internal political matters separately.

Meanwhile, during the Question Hour in the Senate, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry addressed concerns related to immigration procedures. He clarified that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducts off-loading in strict accordance with established procedures. Discrepancies identified in a passenger's travel documents or profile during initial screening are referred for further scrutiny.

The Minister informed the House that the FIA has prominently displayed information on passengers' rights, complaint mechanisms, and appeal procedures at all immigration counters in both Urdu and English. This information is also disseminated through public awareness initiatives. Dr. Chaudhry also rejected reports of deportations of Pakistani citizens, especially from the United Arab Emirates.

The session concluded with the announcement that the House will reconvene on Friday at 10:30 in the morning.
