Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Libya have reached an agreement to collaborate on defense industrial projects and exchange technical expertise to tackle contemporary security challenges. This understanding was achieved during a meeting between Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, and Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two military leaders covered various topics, including mutual interests, evolving regional dynamics, security challenges, and issues related to defense cooperation. The visit highlighted a commitment to strengthening military ties between the two nations through shared expertise and collaborative efforts.
Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar's visit to the General Headquarters began with a ceremonial welcome. He laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, paying tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army. The visit was marked by a guard of honor presented by a meticulously turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army.
