Islamabad: The Pakistan Army has been actively involved in ongoing rescue operations in flood-affected areas of Punjab. In the Lahore Division, approximately 500 military officers and soldiers are engaged in extensive relief efforts to mitigate the impact of the severe flooding.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Pakistan Army, in collaboration with the civil administration, has established 21 rescue and relief camps. These efforts have successfully relocated about 10,000 people and their livestock from 72 villages to safer locations. Additionally, provisions for necessary medical assistance have been arranged for those affected by the floods.
In Daska, the Pakistan Army has focused its efforts on relocating Sikh community members to safety. So far, around 80 people have been successfully rescued, with the Sikh community expressing their appreciation for the timely intervention and relief operations conducted by the Army.
The Pakistan Army continues to work alongside the respective civil administrations to provide ongoing support and relief to flood-hit regions, ensuring the safety and well-being of the affected populations.
