Pakistan Army Mobilizes to Address Flood Emergency in Six Punjab Districts

Islamabad: Pakistan Army has been engaged in dealing with flood situation in six districts of Punjab since last night.

According to Radio Pakistan, rescue and relief operations are being carried out in Lahore, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Sialkot, and Narowal districts. Meanwhile, several areas, including Kasur and Ganda Singh Wala along the Sutlej River, have been inundated.

Pakistan Army troops are engaged in transporting flood-affected people to safe locations using boats. Children, elderly people, and women are among those who have been shifted to safer places by the soldiers. During the rescue operation, Pakistan Army also ensured the safe relocation of belongings and livestock of the flood victims.

Relief camps for the affected population have been established jointly by the Pakistan Army and district administration.
