Pakistan EPS Center Introduces Tablet-Based System for Korean Language Test

Pakistan: Pakistan Employment Permit System Center, which operates under HRD Korea and the Embassy of South Korea to facilitate the merit-based recruitment of Pakistani workers, has introduced a Tablet-Based System, Ubiquitous-Based Test (UBT), for the Korean language test to overcome infrastructure limits and enhance fairness.

According to Radio Pakistan, press release issued by the Embassy of South Korea, this next-generation digital assessment framework will entirely replace the existing computer-based testing method, marking a major milestone in modernizing the examination process. Pakistan's selection as the first country for the introduction of the Tablet-Based Ubiquitous-Based Test System is a direct response to the rapidly growing local demand for the Korean language test.

A representative of the Pakistan Employment Permit System Center highlighted the operational advantages of the new system, stating that the introduction of the Tablet-Based Ubiquitous-Based Test System will relieve the staff from the financial and logistical burdens associated with establishing and maintaining fixed, large-scale existing Computer-Based Testing centers. The staff can now conduct highly secure and flexible examinations utilizing highly portable, state-of-the-art equipment.

The representative of the Pakistan Employment Permit System Center, Embassy of Korea, further mentioned that the Center will collaborate extensively with the Overseas Employment Corporation of Pakistan to gradually expand additional test venues across the country. The newly adopted Tablet-Based System, Ubiquitous-Based Test, is a sophisticated digital assessment platform designed to administer large-scale examinations through a secure, closed wireless local network without requiring live internet connectivity.
