Islamabad: The outgoing European Union Ambassador Riina Kionka has expressed a heartfelt farewell message as she concludes her tenure in Pakistan. She described her time in the country as "a journey of meaningful partnerships and friendships."

According to Radio Pakistan, Kionka shared her appreciation for the people of Pakistan in a post on X, thanking them for their hospitality and kindness. She wrote, "Though I say Khuda Hafiz," a piece of Pakistan will forever remain in her heart.

Her departure signifies the end of a diplomatic chapter that was marked by strengthened EU-Pakistan relations, collaborative development efforts, and cultural exchange. Throughout her tenure, the Ambassador was instrumental in fostering dialogue on various crucial issues, including trade, women empowerment, climate resilience, education, and human rights.
