According to Radio Pakistan, the meetings were held separately with US Congress members Randy Weber, John Rutherford, Maxine Waters, and Sylvia R. Garcia. These discussions aimed at enhancing the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and technology. A significant emphasis was placed on economic interaction between Pakistan and the State of Texas, highlighting it as a promising area for active engagement. The talks also contemplated engagement strategies with the upcoming Republican administration, seeking mutually beneficial outcomes in trade, investment, information technology, and agriculture. The members of Congress expressed a strong interest in strengthening ties with Pakistan. The discussions fur ther explored deepening exposure and linkages in trade and investment, financial services, people-to-people contacts, and defense and security. Enhancing economic interaction with the State of Texas, with an emphasis on evolving trade, investment, and diaspora connections, was considered a vital part of the discussions.
