Planning Minister Highlights Political Stability as Crucial for Pakistan’s Future

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the importance of political stability, continuity of policies, and mutual cooperation as essential components for a bright future for Pakistan. He articulated these points at a special event titled 'Bethak', held in Islamabad under the theme 'Mark-e-Haq: Honoring the Role of Religious Minorities in Pakistan'.

According to Radio Pakistan, the event was designed to foster interfaith harmony, peaceful co-existence, and mutual respect among all citizens. It saw active participation from representatives of Pakistan's Christian, Hindu, Sikh, and other religious minority communities. These representatives shared insights on their roles in the national development of Pakistan, particularly within the context of the URAAN Pakistan initiative.

During the event, the Minister paid tribute to the significant contributions made by minority communities throughout Pakistan's history. He highlighted that these communities played an integral role in the Pakistan Movement and continue to be a vital part of the nation's progress, showcasing their love, loyalty, and service.

Ahsan Iqbal reiterated that Pakistan is a testament to the shared sacrifices of all its communities. He stated, 'We didn't just build the country together, we have also strengthened it together.' He also reaffirmed the government's commitment to inclusivity and providing equal opportunities for all citizens, irrespective of their religion, race, or ethnicity.
