Jhelum: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to Constable Haider Ali of the Punjab Police, who embraced martyrdom while saving lives during a rescue operation in a flood-affected area in the district of Jhelum.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement on Friday, expressed prayers for a higher status in heaven for the departed soul and extended condolences to the bereaved family. He highlighted that Haider Ali risked his life to rescue several people from floodwaters, demonstrating exceptional courage. The Prime Minister remarked that the entire nation is proud of Shaheed Haider Ali.
Prime Minister Sharif also directed authorities to take all possible measures for the welfare and support of Shaheed Haider Ali's family. Additionally, he commended the efforts of the police, security forces, National Disaster Management Authority, and Provincial Disaster Management Authority personnel for their commendable rescue operations during the recent flood situation.
