Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited the Provincial Disaster Management Authority headquarters in Lahore on Friday. During her visit, she received a comprehensive briefing on the current situation regarding rainfall and flood surges across the province.
According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was informed that both the Army and district administrations had responded promptly to the heavy rains and flash floods. Their timely actions in the three affected districts led to the successful rescue of 1,063 individuals who were trapped in floodwaters.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of public unity in facing the challenges posed by the current weather conditions.
