Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the need for aligning the country's civil service with modern technology and the standards of public service practiced internationally. Chairing a meeting on civil service reforms in Islamabad today (Friday), he said revamping the civil service through a comprehensive and effective strategy is the government's top priority.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted the crucial role that the civil service plays in the effective implementation of government policies and the performance of various ministries and departments. He underscored the importance of updating the civil service to meet international standards as part of the government's commitment to improving public service delivery.
The Prime Minister directed officials to ensure that the input from government officers and public representatives is included in the administrative and institutional reforms of the civil service. This approach aims to make the reforms more comprehensive and effective, fostering a more efficient and responsive civil service system.
