Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says fake news is a major challenge worldwide and there is need to devise a code of conduct to check the issue. He was talking to Political Counselor of British High Commission Zoe Ware, who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday. Matters related to the bilateral cooperation in diverse fields including media, film and drama came under discussion. The Minister urged the journalists' community to verify credibility of news stories especially on social media before their dissemination. Speaking on the occasion, the Political Counselor of British High Commission felicitated Attaullah Tarar on assuming the office of the Minister for Information and Broadcasting and assured her full cooperation in promoting the Pak-UK ties in diverse fields.
