Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the need to take steps to ensure effective governance and public welfare in Sindh. He was talking to the Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi, who called on him in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President directed the Governor to work with the government and other social, political, and business organizations of the province to fully reflect the aspirations of the federal government in the province. Matters relating to the overall political situation, particularly those concerning Sindh, also came under discussion.
